Tulip 'Copper Image'

I can't stop growing this tulip, and I'm going to be completely honest here. 

When she first appears, she's tight and compact, and a deep raspberry hue, and for some reason I always feel mildly disappointed at first. I'll include a picture so you know what I mean. It's because my memory of her is so strong. So I give it a couple days, watch her unfurl, and there it is. Her color shifts to peachy copper, golden apricot, translucent in some places, and glistening like a new penny. That'sssss the girl I knew. She ends the season as a favorite each time. A late double bloomer. Ht: 14-16"
